The lightest stem in the FSA family at a scant 103 grams, the OS 99 is 3D forged from 7050 aluminum alloy to ensure toughness and strength.
It's forged faceplate has a serrated grip area to secure both alloy and carbon fiber handlebars. All edges are radiused to eliminate potential stress risers -- even the washers and counterbores for the Ti bolts are radiused. And the clamping area is diagonally cut to better distribute the clamping load.
